FCC licensed since 1994. I earned my Extra class license in 1995. I'm a casual DXer and occasional contester. I operate CW (morse code) almost exclusively on the HF bands. I also experiment with and enjoy using the digital modes, including APRS and PSK-31. For more info on Amateur Radio visit the ARRL. I'm also involved locally with the Amateur Radio Emergency Service where I assist in a volunteer capacity when there's a need.
